DGES Alumni – where are they now?

Carol Hunsberger, PhD (2012) is currently a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, Netherlands.  On January 1, 2014, she will take up her new position at the University of Western Ontario as an Assistant Professor in the Geography department focusing on development geography.

Ravinder Virk, PhD (2013), has recently accepted a position as an Academic Assistant (3), Instructor in the department of Geography at University of Lethbridge (July 1, 2013 to May 31, 2014).

Melissa Koluksuz, MA (2010) is eager to pursue a career in academia and began a PhD at the London School of Economics and Political Science in London, England in 2011. She is currently in her third year in the International Relations department. Her research focuses on American Imperialism, American foreign policy, and Critical Geopolitics. She is also one of the deputy editors for Millennium Journal of International Studies (http://mil.sagepub.com).

Tracey Lauriault, PhD (2012), is taking up a postdoctoral research position at the National Institute for Regional and Spatial Analysis (NIRSA) in Maynooth, Ireland, starting September 1, 2013.   She will be working on the Programmable City Project at NIRSA.  Read more about Tracey’s job and the project here.
